What is Vive?

  • Vive is a premier beauty membership service that offers exclusive access to a network of 350+ top salons in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago for last-minute blowout appointments.

  • How does Vive work?

    Download the Vive app to get started. Enter your desired location, date and time you want an appointment, and select 3 or more salons you want to be booked at. Let the Vive app take care of the rest! We will notify you with your appointment confirmation details via email, SMS, and/or push notification.

  • What services does Vive offer?

    Currently, Vive offers a monthly membership for a set number of blowouts appointments per month within our network of top salons. A blowout is a wash and blow-dry style of a woman or man's hair. Stayed tuned for more salon services being added soon!

Vive Plans

  • How do I purchase a plan through Vive?

    Vive plans can be purchased through the Vive iOS app or online at https://www.vive.co/register.

  • Is my card charged immediately, or when I complete my booking?

    Your card will be charged upfront for your monthly membership or single, pay-as-you-go blowout purchase. Once your purchase is complete, you can book your first appointment immediately or wait and book later.

  • Do my credits expire?

    Single blowouts can be booked up to 30 days after their date of purchase. Members with monthly subscriptions can booked anytime within their current month. Blowouts do not roll over month to month, so all credits must be completed within their current cycle.

  • Does my plan automatically refill?

    Yes, monthly memberships are set to renew every month on the same date you first activated your account. So, if you signed up and purchased a membership on October 10th, your second month will renew on November 10th and X number of blowout credits will be added to your account, depending on which plan you selected. Single blowouts are individual purchases and do not automatically renew.

  • Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

    Yes, you can always upgrade or downgrade your monthly membership if you realize you need more or less monthly blowouts. You can make this change directly in your account in the Membership section. The difference in cost of each plan, will be added or subtracted to your next monthly invoice automatically, based on the number of days you were on each plan.

  • Are there any additional or hidden fees?

    Some salons do have extra fees for hot tool work ($5-$15) or handling extensions when servicing your blowout. We have asked these salons to be very transparent of these fees and communicate these to you before your appointment.

Booking appointments

  • How long does it take to confirm my appointment request?

    Appointments are confirmed in real-time with our salon and spa partners, so those made within salon business hours (9am-7pm) are typically confirmed in 10 minutes or less. If you have not heard about the status of your appointment from the Vive app in 15 minutes or more, someone from Vive’s customer success team will reach out promptly with an update on your appointment.

  • What if I need to cancel my appointment?

    We understand you’re busy and that plans change. You can cancel any confirmed appointment up to 12 hours before your confirmed appointment time free of charge. For cancellations within 12 hours, a $20 fee will be charged to your account to compensate the salon and stylist for their reservation.

  • How does tipping work?

    Tip is not included in the price of your original Vive purchase. Before each appointment, your confirmation SMS and/or email will indicate if the salon accepts tipping through Vive’s automatic tipping system, or cash only. You can set your individual tipping preferences in your account in the Settings section. Here, you can set the automatic tip percentage you would like charged to your credit card after each appointment, or set to "cash only".

    Vive is currently live in New York, Brooklyn, the Hamptons, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

  • Which salons and spas are in the Vive network?

    You can see a list of participating Vive salon partners at www.vive.co/salons. We’re always adding new salons to our network, so don’t forget to check back.

  • Does Vive have an iPhone app?

    Yes! Download our iOS app here to start booking appointments on-the-go.

  • Does Vive have an Android app?

    Vive is only available in iOS. We are are working to release an Android app in the near future, stay tuned.
